Hi, I'm Naomi!

I quit big tech to create little cakes.

As a half-Asian American growing up in the South, I had a hard time finding the food of my heritage. It wasn't until adulthood when I moved to NYC and the West Coast that I found plentiful, authentic Asian cuisine, and my love for it flourished. Now living in Miami, authentic Asian food is sparse once again. I began experimenting in my home kitchen with Asian ingredients and flavors that I missed, and KOBU was born.

KOBU's mission is to spread joy by making delicious, nutritious, Asian-inspired treats convenient and prevalent. With KOBU's warm mochi cake cups, you can experience a taste of Asia anywhere you live.
